The objective of the course is to get the students acquainted with the diversity of the Asia-Pacific Region (South, South-East and East Asia) as a business area and the complexity and dynamics of Asia-Pacific businesses so that they recognize similarities and dissimilarities between Western and Eastern economies.
The course focuses on the geography, governance frames, business practices,
business cultures, strengths and weaknesses of various countries and their social
structures in preparing foreign companies and their representatives to organize
businesses in the Asia-Pacific Region. Another focus is to give an explanation for
the rapid economic growth and the major future challenges of the Asia-Pacific Region.
