After completing the course the student will understand:
• Market structure of diverse media industries in historic and current forms
• Theories of the firm
• Business models and copyright issues
• The place and contributions of media industries in GDP over time
• Economic factors impacting the way media are organised and operated
Priority on the course is given to students in the Master's Programme in Media Management. Some places are also availabe to other students. Requirements:
- students who have completed basic and intermediate studies in Journalism and Communication or Business Studies
OR
- other Master's level students in Media/Journalism or Management/Business
Exchange students are also welcome, if they fulfil one of the criteria above. Max. number of students in the course is 30.
