After completing the course, students will
- be familiar with key concepts and theories of ethical questions
- know the principles of good research practice and recognize types of its violations
- be better equipped to think about and deal with ethical issues at different phases of their studies
- have skills to identify and deal with ethical issues concerning research, e.g. treatment of participants, informed consent, data lifespan, publication and ethical reporting etc.
- know the key regulations and guidelines concerning permissions for obtaining data
- be familiar with the guidelines for research professionals and know where to obtain more information on them

Primarily HES/MHS students. As optional also for IBT/BINF students. Open also for other UTA students but limited to 32 students. Preference is given to degree students in health sciences and others will be accepted in the order of registration.
