After completing the course the student
- can explain the accessibility and affordability of social- and healthcare benefits from a family perspective.
- knows the main principles of social and healthcare services in selected countries.
- can analyse differences between social and health care services in selected countries.
- can analyse the quality of social and health care services.

Learning methods and learning assessment

· International course in English language

· Problem based learning on Moodle: Introduction + 5 family cases

· Students working together in groups (5-8 students/group)

· Teachers tutoring groups

· Electronic references, links to Internet and videos with specialist interviews/lectures are available on Moodle  

Active participation in PBL-group working with 5 cases, gives 50 % of the pass. The essay written at the end of the course gives 50 % of the pass.
