Learning outcomes
Understanding molecular and cytological basics of heritability; elementary knowledge of experimental methods of genetics.
After the course, the student can:
- explain the molecular and cytological basis of heritability
- conduct basic genetic analyses
- take into account different variables that affect the phenotypic outcome
General description
Review of the biological principles in the maintenance and evolution of genetic information. Basics of classical genetics, cytogenetics, population genetics, and quantitative genetics.
