Learning outcomes

After completing the study module, the students are familiar with the theoretical and methodological multidisciplinary discussion related to theatre work. The students have formed an opinion on the nature and social relevance of artistic research and the significance of research to this process.

Content

The theoretical and methodological studies can be completed e.g. with examinations, essays, reading circles or courses on artistic research arranged by the Doctoral School of the University of Tampere or the University of the Arts Helsinki related to the research topic. They can include studies in the philosophy of art, among other things. Other completion methods, such as teaching one’s own research topic or lecture passports, are also possible. The completion of theoretical and methodological studies is agreed upon with the supervisor.
