Learning outcomes

After completing the intermediate studies students understand that the knowing of the history of Western philosophy is essential element in philosophising. Students conceive and are able to characterise major periods in the history of philosophy and the philosophical approaches peculiar to them. Students are also acquainted with the central trends in contemporary philosophy and have extended knowledge on the contemporary themes of the philosophy of science and some other optional subfields of philosophy. A student is able to write clear and consistent philosophical presentation and contribute philosophical discussion.
