Joint doctoral studies deepen students’ general theoretical and methodological skills and prepare them to work in multidisciplinary groups. The studies consist of the studies offered by the University’s Doctoral School and by the doctoral programmes of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities. The courses Research Ethics and Philosophy of Science are compulsory.
All the postgraduate students of the School give a presentation of their dissertation once during their studies for a multidisciplinary group of students and researchers in the joint doctoral seminar of the School (=YKY-Seminar). The presentation is held halfway through the studies. The style and the time of the presentation are agreed with the supervisor. The YKY-Seminar is compulsory for each student. Credits are not granted.
