Yleiskuvaus

The course is organized by the two universities in Tampere, i.e. by the Technical University of Tampere (TUT) and the University of Tampere (UTA). The main emphasis of the TUT course is bacterial biotechnology and the UTA course is focusing on eukaryotic biotechnology.

Osaamistavoitteet

After passing the course, the student is able to read scientific articles with required criticism and extract the relevant key points of the text and discuss them. He/she will get an overview of the newest trends in biotechnology. During the course, the student learns to summarize scientific articles in form of presentations, and respectively, listen and question presentations prepared by other students.
