The course concentrates on different design research methods and practices as well as their epistemological backgrounds.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course a student is expected to be able to:
-analyze different design research methods -understand different design research approaches and epistemological backgrounds -apply design research methods on his/her personal research interest
Contents
The relationship between design and research; different approaches to design research: research on design, research for design and research through design; design philosophy and critical design research; user studies and design; relationship between design methods; design research and interactive media.
