General description

Lectures (21 hours) and readings.

Learning outcomes

Students will learn contemporary theories useful for management work with specific emphasis on developing media products and services; including project management, knowledge management, and customer relationship management, and creative organisation principles.

Contents

After completing the course the student will understand:

• Content and development from a customer-centred perspective
• Project management process and characteristic challenges
• Diversity and strategic thinking in the context of creative organisation
• What CRM and KM are, and why that matters

Lecture, readings and analytical project in teams.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Numeric 1-5.
Class attendance (1 ECTS), essay examination (2 ECTS), results of team project and presentation (2 ECTS).

Study materials

A packet of contemporary readings from academic journals and books, trade press sources, international news magazines, and on-line reports.
