Active participation in the seminar, in which students continue to work on their preparative research plan, present a feasible version of it, start their research and report on its progress. Students also present their research plan orally and comment on other participants’ works critically. The seminar is connected to the research method studies of the thesis workshop and to the teachings and feedback supporting scientific writing. (Before attending the seminar, students are expected to have produced a preparative research plan accepted in the thesis workshop, which tells the choices for a thesis subject and research methods; see S4b1).
