Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will have a thorough understanding of the practices of a specific expert position in multilingual communications. The student will be able to function as a member of a work community, reflect on matters learnt in the workplace, and report on them.
Contents
The student will complete the course unit by doing an independent internship that consists of translating, interpreting, communication tasks, or other tasks that have separately been agreed upon. The student will write a reflective, free-form report on the internship in Finnish. The report should include the duration, place, and time of the internship, and the student should also assess and reflect upon what they have gained from the internship and how it has helped them in developing their expertise. The required minimum length of the report is five pages, and the student must attach their certificate of employment to the report.
