STYÖA3B1 Social Work Methods 1 ECTS

General description

An overview of the methods used in social work and their applications to client work.

Learning outcomes

After a successful completion of this course, students will be familiar with the central work methods, techniques and instruments used in social work and able to use them creatively.

Contents

Motivating interview, solution and resource based method, individual service guidance, methods of networking and crisis treatment, creative methodologies.

Lectures (24 h/1 ECTS) and a literature examination on a general examination day of the faculty of social sciences (2 ECTS).
