Learning outcomes

Students adopt advanced skills on the phonetic structure of Swedish and learn to analyze language phonetically. They become able to apply the knowledge in striving toward authenticity in their own pronunciation and ability to express themselves in oral communication situations almost free of errors.

Contents

An advanced study of the segmental and prosodic features of common Swedish on the phonological and phonetic level through an analysis of authentic materials. Comparing and contrasting the features with their Finnish equivalents; practicing oral communication situations.
