General description

An internship or work placement for 6 weeks in the field of public health.

Learning outcomes

After completing an internship the student is familiar with the working practices of his/her field. The student also understands what skills and fundamental information working in that particular field requires.

Contents

The internships is composed on following themes
1.Internship info
2.Internship in a workplace related to public health science studies (6 weeks) and making internship plan
3.Composing a written report on the internship.

Teaching methods

The work practicum study module is composed of an internship, an information session, a report and participation in the working life theme day of the unit (if given in English). The documents and presentations include a written internship plan and an internship report.
