Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be able to identify, describe, and analyse the cultural phenomena of North American and British cultures. In addition, they will have the ability to profoundly reflect on their own culture, identify the potential pitfalls in intercultural communication, and question and analyse cultural stereotypes.
Contents
The course unit consists of lectures on topics related to the culture and society of both North America and Britain. In addition, the course unit includes exercises where the student will analyse the features of British and American society and culture based on the information they have gained during the lectures.
