Learning outcomes

Familiarise students with the design and evaluation methods of digital libraries and online services.

Contents

Methods of design and evaluation. Usability testing, expert evaluations, contextual design and evaluation, empathic design, affective design, participative design, surveys, log analyses, observation, video taping and interview methods. The stages of the design process and different aspects of user-centered evaluation.
