Learning outcomes

Public diplomacy and public relations are the central means of the so called soft power. In theory of international relations there is a long and lively discussion of the immaterial or psychological aspects of power.

Contents

How states use images to affect the political estimations the others make of them, what is the role of public framing in decision-making and how to enhance power by public authority and prestige?
