KKSU52 TOWARDS THE MASTER'S THESIS-ACADEMIC WRITING IN FINNISH 2 ECTS

Learning outcomes

To develop written communication so that students can produce readable text, fluent and cohesive academic text from their own field.

Contents

- the basics of language revision and appropriate style
- drawing up expert texts
- practising argumentation
- the effect of a foreign language on text production
- content selected by students
Each section focuses on text layout, modes, outlines, intelligibility and accuracy of expression through theory and practical exercises.

The course consists of teaching in small groups and written exercises, independent text production, personal guidance and feedback.
