To become familiar with the psychological assessment process and the methods used in assessments, their compilation and criteria, interpreting results and making statements.
Contents
The third period introduces students to psychological tests and neuropsychological examination and assessment of adults. Students become familiar with the most important assessment methods and tests used in Finland. The neuropsychological assessment of adults is practiced through actual case studies and by independently carrying out or following at least one authentic examination and/or producing an analysis and a report of a problematic situation. The fourth period focuses on the psychological study of individuals and on outlining a problematic situation through behavioural analysis.
Teaching methods
Lectures (22h, some of which possibly in collaboration with other departments of psychology), practice classes and guidance at work (18h), guided examination of own clients and writing a statement, educational visits (3x2h) and a book exam.

Modes of study
Lectures and related literature will be tested in an examination organised at the end of the course. Articles and test handbooks studied in practice classes will be tested in accordance with the instructions given by the teacher in charge of the course.
