German in school as a B2 or B3 language, Intermediate German Course II or equivalent skills (a minimum of B1 language proficiency level).

General description

This course is for Finnish students and exchange students whose native language is German.

Learning outcomes

The objective of this course is to form a contact between Finnish and German-speaking students in order to get students to improve their oral German skills. After a successful completion of the course, the students studying German as a foreign language will
- be able to communicate in different ordinary situations
- have a large vocabulary concerning the topics handled in discussions
- understand the importance of intercultural communication

Contents

Students agree on the small-group conversation topics together with a teacher-tutor. The groups will consist of one native German-speaker and one or two students who study German as a foreign language. The groups meet regularly and the students keep a personal learning journal. Moodle will be used as a learning environment.
