Learning outcomes

To familiarize students more profoundly and in more detail with the history and most important classics of western philosophy.

Contents

The module consists of two parts:
PHILAI1a: book examination, 3 ECTS and
PHILAI1b: classics, 5 ECTS.

Modes of study

PHILAI1a: only a book examination.
PHILAI1b: Book examination, lecture examination or some other mode of study which has been agreed upon with the teacher. The part on a classic can also be completed by taking part in seminars on classics.

Evaluation

Numeric 1-5.

Study materials

PHILAI1a. Book examination, 3 ECTS. Warburton: Philosophy. The Classics.

PHILAI1b. Classics of philosophy, 5 ECTS. An exam or essays on classic texts, the literature to be examined and the essay must be agreed upon separately with the examiner.
