Students know the basics of statistics. This includes definitions, general principles of conducting a statistical study, and methods of descriptive and analytical statistics. Students will be able to perform a simple statistical analysis, given a study description and observations.
Contents
This course covers basic concepts in statistics, commonly used numerical and graphical methods of descriptive statistics, principles of statistical inference, statistical models, likelihood, point and interval estimators, and statistical tests. The R language is used throughout the course.
