Learning outcomes

Familiarise students with information retrieval as a service and with the instruction and teaching tasks of information retrieval.

The course deepens the students’ knowledge of information needs, information seeking and methods of information retrieval. Students learn to reflect on their own performance while working with customers in different information retrieval contexts and while working in an instructional role in information retrieval. Analysing and reporting the process of information seeking and information retrieval. The design, implementation and evaluation of instructional situations in information retrieval.
