A written essay, where the student analyzes the interactive relationship between the libraries and the society in a historical and contemporary perspective.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course a student is expected to be able to:

-understand from a research-based perspective the historical development and present day situation of libraries and other memory organizations as societal institutions
