Learning outcomes

The aim is to guide and support the student in completing the Master’s thesis. The progress of the work of each student is discussed with the help of topic analysis, an intermediate report and a final report. In addition, important stages and research themes of the thesis process will be presented during the seminar.

Contents

Seminar meetings for students in the master’s thesis process. Discussion and expansion of topics, presentation of themes and previous research, definition of the research topic, aspects of material acquisition, research criticism, thesis writing, presentation and finishing of the thesis.

Teaching methods

Approx. 2 h per month and personal tutoring upon agreement during semesters.

Finnish

Modes of study

Topic analysis, intermediate and final report, active participation.

Evaluation

Pass/fail.

Recommended year of study

Advanced studies, 4th year and later, autumn and spring semester.
