The course familiarizes students with the main problems and challenges in work life concerning health and to give an overall picture of the role of occupational health services and workplace health promotion (basics of occupational health and safety management and risk assessment at work places).

Work life in Finland and EU, work place health promotion and ergonomics, work related exposures and diseases, occupational health service in Finland, basics of occupational health and safety management and risk assessment at work place. Modes of Study Lectures, seminar work, learning diary, work site visits
Teaching methods
Participation in at least 75 % of the lectures, active participation in the group work, completion of the learning diary.
