Learning outcomes

To introduce students to the basic concepts and research subjects of Russian lexicology.

Contents

Word as a part of the language system, the origin, area and style of words, active and passive vocabulary and neologisms. Students become familiar with phraseology and its basic concepts. An overview of lexicography.
