To gain practical experience in social policy and to learn how to apply what has been learned to working life. To learn to combine the skills learned while studying with the challenges of working life.
Further information on prerequisites and recommendations
The practical training is only for major students, who must have completed A3 Evaluation Research.
Teaching methods
Students participate in a preparation seminar for the practical training period, complete an internship of 3 months in a work organisation of their choice and write an internship report, which will be processed during a feedback seminar. The training organisation chooses an instructor for the student. Students draw up a training plan with their instructors; this plan will tell the assignments during the training period and the personal goals that students have set for themselves.
Modes of study
In the internship report, students assess their own training in relation to their set goals and the realisation of the organisation's social political task with the help of complementary literature. The report should meet the criteria for academic writing.
Evaluation
Pass/fail.
