Preceding studies
Level A English in senior secondary school, or equivalent skills (B1-B2 level of language competence). To achieve the required starting level, students may for example take an English prep course.
Course is available for:
  • Major subject students

Learning outcomes

After completing this course, students will
- understand the basics of intercultural communication
- be able to express themselves clearly and in any way necessary
- be able to handle professional doctor-patient situations in English

Contents

During this course, students will
- develop their awareness and skills of intercultural communication
- become familiar with the sources/programmes needed in English professional oral communication (dictionaries and websites concerning oral skills)
- practise doctor-patient treatment situations in small groups of two or more
