General description

An introduction to the study of history.

Learning outcomes

To provide students with the basic knowledge of history as a discipline.

Contents

This course familiarizes the students with the source materials for the study of history, and with various conceptions of history. The basic concepts of the study of history and historical writing are introduced. Students become familiar with the basics of academic writing, information retrieval and analysing of the academic texts.
