The student is familiar with the field of modern conflict research, which has developed in connection with peace research and has its background in social research. The student knows the basic body of research and is familiar with some branch or a specific approach.
Contents
Lectures (8 h) discuss conflict theory and conflict research, analytical and behavioural approaches to conflict research and explain the key concepts of specific approaches.

Practicum papers (workshops, 12 hrs)
Lectures (8 h) + Practicum papers (workshops, 16 h) rehearse interpretation to identity approaches and discourses. Literature studies (2 ECTS, included in the total of 5 ECTS) support paper-writing and are agreed individually with each student.
