General description

The student writes a thesis in form of a monograph or a scientific article.

Learning outcomes

After writing an accepted master’s thesis the student
-can formulate relevant research questions, choose an appropriate study design and methods as well as work as part of a research group and/or carry out a scientific empirical study
-is deeply acquainted with at least one public health subject matter and
-is able to analyze a broad dataset and administer the written presentation of scientific work

Contents

The thesis can be written either as a monograph or based on an article manuscript accepted in or submitted to a peer-reviewed journal (more instructions in the MHS Moodle).

Before the Master’s Thesis is accepted the students must pass a Maturity test. The test will be evaluated for both content and language. The Maturity test is evaluated pass/fail for both parts. No credits.
