General description

The course examines the multidisciplinary nature of game research.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course a student is expected to be able to:

-understand different knowledge interests and traditions guiding game research
-critically evaluate and compare different game research approaches
-independently deepen his/her understanding on multidisciplinary game research

Contents

Critical game analysis, game experience, game genres, player studies, game cultures, game industry analysis and other current approaches on game research.
