To test students' language skills and ensure an adequate level of proficiency in central areas of written English.

Contents

This is a test of written language proficiency and grammatical accuracy, with subtests on error correction, vocabulary, articles, prepositions and verb forms. A test is held at the end of each semester.

Numeric 1-5.

Further information

A grade of at least 3 is required in order to complete Basic Studies with an overall grade of 3 (or higher).
The grade is valid for 5 years, after which it should be updated. (Note that a valid grade is also a requirement for completing Intermediate Studies and Advanced Studies (see ENGFA0 and ENGFS0)).
