• Magnitude and causes of internal displacement, immigration and emigration and definitions of human mobility status • Special issues in health of individuals and populations residing outside their home region • Human trafficking • Characteristics of travel and travellers in the world • Impact of human mobility on transmission of pathogens, example of influenza: pandemic modelling, spread and containment • Road traffic and health • Individual and institutional competences in transnational health care • Transnational encounters in health care • Impact of globalisation on global medicines and vaccines production, global view to counterfeit drugs

Attendance is open for all university of Tampere students but limited to 32 students. If more students wish to take the course, preference is given to degree students in health sciences and others will be accepted in the order of registration
