This course gives basic information and tools for Asian Business and Business cultures.
Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to focus on the governance frames, business practises, business cultures and social structures in preparing foreign companies and their representatives to organize businesses in Asia-Pacific Region. Another focus is to give an explanation for the rapid economic growth and, on the other hand, the major future challenges of the Asia-Pacific Region.
Contents
The course introduces the students to the diversity of the Asia-Pacific Region as a business area, complexity and dynamics of business in Asia, the history and growth paths of Asian economies as well as patterns of motives and factors that shape life and business in Asia so that the students recognise similarities and dissimilarities between Western and Eastern economies. There are three main regions described in the course: South Asia, South-East Asia and East Asia.
