The aim of the module is to practise the skills needed in participating in meetings conducted in English as well as those required for socialising with international business contacts.
After successful completion of the module, the students will be able to - participate efficiently in the different stages of the meeting process - produce the written documents associated with meetings - produce and present a project proposal - make the necessary arrangements for organising a meeting with business partners (e.g. through e-mail) - present the main features of their own company and host business contacts

The module will go through - the different cultural conventions governing meetings - the language used in the meeting process - the structure and language of a meeting agenda - the structure and language of the minutes of a meeting - leadership and managing conflict in meetings - the role of culture in group discussion - the cultural conventions and language of small talk
