Learning outcomes

To give students the opportunity to complete optional courses supporting their intermediate studies.

Contents

Courses organised by another subject or university, visiting lecturers of students' own choosing, studia generalia, public defences of a thesis, seminars or other events organised at the School of Modern Languages and Translation Studies or elsewhere at the university, of which students write learning journals. Alternatively students may also read literature related to translation studies and write a paper on a topic of their own choosing. Different alternatives can be discussed with the subject assistant.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Pass/fail.
Acceptable performance is based on the quality of a learning journal, essay or some other demonstration of a completed course.
