Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will know the foundations of Finnish pronunciation and be able to use and understand short and simply structured Finnish expressions that concern some of the most common everyday situations (e.g. talking about themselves and their families, buying and paying, telling the time, asking simple questions and greeting others).
Contents
During the course, students are acquainted with the Finnish pronunciation and spelling system, the basics of grammar and some core vocabulary. Students engage in pronunciation, sound recognition, and structural and communicative exercises that focus on the topics covered.
