Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be familiar with the Finnish healthcare system and its structure, as well as with the legislation governing the healthcare sector. The student will understand the main characteristics of the social and health security and the National Health Insurance in Finland. The student will be familiar with the central healthcare terminology and some of the most important sources of information on the healthcare system.
Contents
The course unit explores the Finnish healthcare system, the common chronic diseases affecting public health in Finland, the social and health security in Finland, as well as forensic medicine.
