To familiarise students with the translation of literary texts.

Contents

Students choose either two short stories, or a short story and a picture/comic book (or a part of it) to translate. The choices must be negotiated with the teacher in advance.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Numeric 1-5.
Grade based on translations and commentaries.

This course is a part of the Module on Literary Translation (14 ECTS). The Module on Literary Translation gives students the opportunity to specialise in literary translation and the study of literary translation in their Advanced Studies. It is not obligatory to complete all the courses of the Module; students can also take individual courses of choice.
