Intermediate Russian Course II or equivalent skills. A2 language proficiency level, approximately 170-200 hours (or two years) of language studies.
Students are able to use the most common ways to ask and comment in ordinary conversations. They are able to discern the essential information at normal speed. They possess the basic knowledge of the Russian tenses and cases and some passive vocabulary.
This course is in accordance with the faculty requirements for a foreign language communicative (oral) skills course.
Learning outcomes
After successful completion of this course, students will - be able to use Russian in authentic surroundings - be able to discuss issues that they find important with natives without preparation and respond to matters by justifying their own views - be able to maintain communication with customary comments and use linguistic means to gain knowledge or help, clarify agreements and correct mistakes, and solve practical problems for instance at work or during student exchange.
Contents
This course goes through linguistic models for practical situations and increases students' vocabularies. Oral practice in small groups, dialogues with the teacher, and homework.

Regular and active participation in speech practice in groups, completed assignments, an oral presentation and group discussions. The grade is based on performance components, all of which will be graded on a scale of 1-5.
