Learning outcomes

By the end of the course the students:

- can understand the dynamics of language in the interview situation
- can identify how interviews are linguistically structured
- can communicate how specific interviews are conducted
- can conduct interviews in various situations
- can analyse and evaluate interviews
- can discuss language and media issues
- can interact with individuals of various cultural backgrounds in professional situations

This course is designed to develop students’ communicative skills in various academic and professional situations.

Participants are required to attend all classes and actively participate in the activities. If absent for a class be prepared to give a 5 minute presentation at the beginning of the next class

Students are expected to show an improvement in their ability to express themselves and will be evaluated both continuously and in a final test.
