Learning outcomes

The course will familiarize students with different phylogenetics algorithms and practical software applications for biological problems. They will be able to create phylogenetic trees from multiple sequence alignments choosing a suitable method for the biological problem. They will be able to interpret different kinds of phylogenetic trees and cladograms which are used most frequently in scientific publications.
