After successful completion of the course, the students will (1) have an understanding about the phenomenology of mental disorders (e.g., mood, regulatory and personality); (2) have an understanding about how emotional, cognitive, and psychophysiological processes operate in different mental disorders: (3) have familiarized themselves with developmental psychopathology and multilevel trajectories that lead to pathology or recovery. (4) have learned about the genetic influences and especially geneX environment models in predictinog mental disorders, (5) have learned about epidemiology of mental disorders and basics of therapy treatments, preventive interventions and promotion of mental health .
