Learning outcomes

The participants are capable of identifying the core areas in philosophy and their research problems. They understand how both the research problems and the nature of inquiry in philosophy differ from those in other academic disciplines. They are also capable of naming and describing the most important approaches and their representatives in the Western tradition of philosophy.

Contents

The course offers a survey of Western philosophy, from the Ancient period to the 20th century.
