To understand the characteristics of the Finnish language.

Contents

An overview of world languages and Uralic languages from the point of view of linguistic typology (Part A); focus on a particular Uralic language (Part B). Part B may include a lecture course of Hungarian or the Veps language, or alternatively an introduction to the grammar of two Uralic languages (not Estonian).
