The book exam is focused on the modern classics of Internet and Game Studies.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course a student is expected to be able to:
-detect and understand the key themes and theories in the chosen area of specialization -read and analyse independently scientific and scholarly literature -understand the special characteristics and evolution of Internet and Game Studies -evaluate and synthetize research literature
Contents
In this course students carry out independent study projects on the central themes in the study of interactive media and games, such as interactivity, the user-centred approaches, media convergence, new media, the cultures of the Internet, online cultures, usability, design research, definitions of game, digital game cultures, the significance of games in a society, game development, game design, player experience, role-playing, flow experience, serious games, game rules.
